Oval Forest Nest is a steel sculpture that was one of the “Seat Art” competition winners sponsored by the Sharp Museum and installed in 1997.

Don Johnson is a long-time resident of southern Illinois. He is an artist who works in several media to include sculpture, glass, pottery and video works. In addition to his sculpture “Oval Forest Nest” in the museums sculpture garden, his public installations include the Stinson Memorial Library in Anna, Shawnee Community College and the Cedarhurst Sculpture Park in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
