Each spring, the Sharp Museum sponsors a regional event for young students. During the two-day festival our campus hosts between 2,000 and 3,000 elementary and middle school children from across Southern Illinois for the annual Arts Education Festival.
The festival showcases many different campus resources and features non-stop performances, workshops and activities pertaining to art, crafts, history, music, dance, theater and more. It is coordinated by the museum in conjunction with other academic and support units across campus and is provided free of charge to the public.
